Ousama Shamma
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Shamma has more than 25 years of software development and project management experience. He joined 3rd Millennium as a Practice Manager in 2000, and named as president in 2004.

As part of 3rd Millennium's management team Mr. Shamma played an instrumental role in the growth and success of the company. His focus and passion has been in utilizing the best practice management principles coupled with the best software development practices to create top quality software products and solutions.

Prior to joining 3rd Millennium, Mr. Shamma held numerous information technology positions as Senior Programmer, Systems Administrator, and Software Development Manager. Mr. Shamma earned his bachelor degree in computer science from CalPoly and has received a number of prestigious awards.

Roland Carel, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Carel has been with 3rd Millennium since 2000. As chief technical officer, he oversees the specification, architecture, design activities, and the choice of technologies for all software products developed by 3rd Millennium.

Prior to joining 3rd Millennium, Dr. Carel was a scientific software designer at NetGenics Inc. where he created functional and technical designs for enterprise bioinformatics frameworks and applications. He has also served as Principal Investigator for informatics R&D grants.

Dr. Carel earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a masters degree in Solid State Physics from Université Paris VI and a bachelors degree in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris.
